To be honest I am not sure where I first heard/acquired this song, whether it be from the "Triple J series" or some obscure sound track ... I just do not know. Also the songs history and artist is obscure and very brief as you will find out below. Is the song good? You decide, as i found more than adequate and actually quite enjoyable, I wonder if they will ever release another song? Maybe, somebody knows?

Jazz/soul DJ Blue Boy hails from Glasgow, Scotland, and honed his craft in his hometown as well as London -- eventually landing a spot DJing for the renowned British DJ group the Shamen. He has released several singles and EPs since the early '90s ("Ascension," the four-track EP Scattered Emotions, etc.). Blue Boy's best-known track remains "Remember Me," a soulful dance track which was based on the 1969 Marlena Shaw composition "Woman of the Ghetto," which was spotlighted as a remix on Mark Farina's original Mushroom Jazz compilation in 1996. ~ [Greg Prato, All Music Guide]. The single peaked at #8 in the UK Singles Chart in February 1997. The track is built around two samples from "Woman of the Ghetto", a 1969 soul song by Marlena Shaw. The original song is polemic to legislators delivered by a woman from a black American ghetto. Near the end is the line: "Remember me? I'm the one who has your baby's eyes". This sample is repeated throughout "Remember Me", as is a sample of a scat portion of the refrain. [Source: Wikipedia]
